Description: This session will cover the current status and future direction of research misconduct and fraud oversight from both institutional and federal funding agency perspectives. We will also discuss support systems available to researchers towards proactively addressing ethical challenges as they arise when conducting academic research.
Instructor(s): Kirby Johnson has been in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, currently as Director of Research Ethics, for over ten years, and a faculty member of the School of Medicine for over twenty years. His and the Research Ethics unit's aim is to provide education towards and support of the responsible conduct of research across the entire Tufts University research community.

Description: This workshop will introduce you to PubMed, the world’s premiere biomedical literature database. We will review the content of this database, planning and executing a search strategy, narrowing search results, finding full-text, and exporting results to a citation management program.

Description: Learn why Scopus and Web of Science are worth adding to your search toolkit. In addition to extensive coverage of the biomedical literature these databases are a fantastic way to look at journal impact, gain insight into how many times an article has been cited, and identify potential collaborators. This workshop will also compare Web of Science and Scopus to help you decide which database is best for you.
