Most material in the Hirsh library is selected to support the instructional and research needs of the Tufts’ health sciences community. The small leisure reading collection is selected with input from staff, students, and faculty with the intent of selecting a wide variety of materials to satisfy the diverse interests of our community. If you wish to request reconsideration of a Hirsh Library resource, please complete the electronic form below. If submitting a physical form, return the completed form to the Library Service Desk or directly to the Head of Collections Management.
Please note:
- Reconsideration requests must come from current Tufts students, staff or faculty members. Anonymous submissions will not be considered.
- Items being reconsidered remain available to the Tufts community during the review process.
- Requests will be reviewed by the appropriate subject librarian (or the Associate Director in the absence of a subject librarian) and the Head of Collections, and their recommendation will be submitted to the Library Director.
- The Library Director’s decision is final. There is no appeal process.
- Requests will be reviewed and responses sent within 90 days of the library receiving the request.
