JumboCash and JumboCash Cards

What is JumboCash?

JumboCash is the pay-for system of the University. It is run by Dining Services on the Medford Campus. For a full list of locations of where JumboCash can be accepted, please visit the Locations page.

Adding Money

​Tufts University students and employees use their University IDs to pay for printing and copying by adding money to their ID via their JumboCash account. To add money to your ID use the JumboCash cash kiosk located on the 4th floor of the Library in the Tufts Center for Medical Education Building near the printers or via credit card using the JumboCash website.

Tufts Medical Center staff or guests who do not have a Tufts ID you may purchase a JumboCash card for $1 cash at the JumboCash kiosk on 4th floor of the Medical Education Building. Add additional money at the kiosk or via credit card using the JumboCash website.

The JumboCash kiosk accepts only $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills.

Where to get Help

Problems with your JumboCash account should be reported to the dining office at 617) 627-3566 or by filling out the JumboCash Problems or Suggestion form.

Any problems with the JumboCash kiosk should be reported to the Library Service Desk located on the 4th floor of the Medical Education Building.

Printing

Costs

Printers only accept JumboCash.

The following amounts will be debited from your JumboCash account:

Black & white duplex/double-sided printing: $.15/page (This is the default.) Black & white single-sided printing: $.10/page Color duplex/double-sided printing: $.45/page Color single-sided printing: $.30/page

Printer Locations

Print jobs are sent to self-service print stations and can be retrieved on either the 4th or 5th floors, no matter from which floor the job was sent. Both black & white and color printers are available on the 4th and 5th floors.

Printing from Library Computers

To print, most browsers or word processing programs send a document to the printer by selecting:

File > Print. Select Tufts_Color or Tufts_BW, then the floor you would like to print to. When prompted, please provide your Tufts username (e.g. jsmith01), then create a name for the print job. NOTE: If you use a Guest Card, you will enter the 9-digit number printed on the front of the card and then create a name for the print job. Go to the small monitor located near a JumboPrint location. Swipe your Tufts University ID or JumboCash card into the card reader. Only your print jobs will show. Select to release the job.

JumboPrint (jumboprint.tufts.edu)

JumboPrint (jumboprint.tufts.edu) allows you to print from your laptop, smartphone, or any WiFi enabled device. If you are using a guest card, be sure to prepare your guest card ID and your JumboCash password. For all others, use your Tufts University credentials.

Where to get Help

For assistance with printing please ask either service desk on the 4th or 5th floor of the Medical Education Building. Any problems with printers should be reported to the Library Service Desk located on the 4th floor.

Copying

Users may use the scanners found on the 5th floor of the Medical Education Building to copy material electronically then send it to a printer. Please refer to Scanning information below.

Scanner Location

Self-service scanners are available on the 5th floor of the Medical Education Building in the public computing area.

Costs

The scanners are free of charge to use.  We suggest that you save the scanned file to your own USB flash drive or to your email address.

Scanning instructions are posted at each scanning station. If you should need further assistance on how to operate the scanners, please ask a staff member at the 5th floor Tufts Technology Services Walk-Up Support Desk.
