The Tufts University Hirsh Health Sciences Library is seeking a part time permanent pre-professional reference assistant. The Hirsh Health Sciences Library serves the Tufts University schools of Medicine; Dental Medicine; Nutrition; Public Health and Graduate Biomedical Sciences; and their affiliate hospitals.  The Hirsh Health Sciences Library is located in downtown Boston in the Chinatown/Theater district.

The Library Service Assistant will perform a variety of tasks at the library service desk.  These tasks include locating course materials, scanning articles, and circulating library items.  Other duties include aiding patrons with basic research inquiries and troubleshooting various library and technology issues.  Students are expected to work approximately 6 hours a week, in two three-hour shifts.  No prior library experience is necessary to apply.
